I'm an active technician in the Cambridge student theatre scene specialising in sound design. As this is my first year I'm trying to get as much experience as possible by helping out and getting involved with as many shows as possible. The downside of this is the number of late-night (00:00 - 07:00) get-ins where we rig the ADC Theatre ready for the next week's show.

My background in technical theatre before I arrived in Cambridge came from my work at my old school, The Bishop's Stortford High School, where I worked alongside the staff Technician and the IT Department on events ranging from concerts to conferences and from awards evenings to musicals & straight plays. My absoloute favourite aspect of being a technician is sound designing & mixing for live music concerts however I have yet to found an outlet for this at university! Despite this, I also have a keen interest in electrics, lighting design, rigging, stage management and technical direction.

To date, My crowning moment as a technician was in my final year at my old school when I co-produced, technical directed, sound designed and video co-designed my school's annual charity fundraising concert, Showcase. Being completely student-run whilst also being the largest event in the school's calendar meant I gained crucial experience in organising logistics and coordinating with external event & hire companies.

I recently attended the Cambridge University European Theatre Group's 2015 European tour of Twelfth Night as a technician. More about my exploits on that trip can be found here.

The remainder of this page lists all the roles and shows that I've ever been involved with either on a temporary or permenant basis. You can read more about any of the Cambridge University shows in which I have been a part of the production team (ie. not just an op for one night) on my Camdram page. If you'd like more details, some of the bigger shows are clickable-links.
